Plants Blooming, Flowers Budding and High Valley Working!

If you doubted Springtime was here because of the extra cold snaps we've had I don't blame you but with pollen counts as high as 4054 yesterday and 2072 today there is NO doubt Spring is here and here to stay! This is GREAT news for us, because for us pollen means 'pollination', growth and progress!!

We have plants budding, blooming and stretching their beautiful green leaves to greet the sun! We have bees buzzing around doing their task of carrying pollen to and fro. It also means we have hammering, sawing and building going on as well!

It's an exciting time at High Valley Ginseng and Herb! We hope that you are enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery of all of the plants and trees blooming!

Greenhouses Are Almost Ready!!

We received an A+ on our greenhouse from Griffin Landscape Supply Company! Now we are going to install the thermal glass the sprinkler system the ventilation system and work on our potting soil mix! We are very excited to be adding additional greenhouses to the ones that we already have.

We also have some beautiful Angelica plants starting to bud, take a look at the pictures below and see how it's going!

Spring is officially here and we High Valley Ginseng cannot wait to show you our beautiful plants this year; everything from Skullcap, Angelica, Sage, Lavender and more! We are even going to try our hand at distilling some essential oils.

Stay tuned folks there's lots more to come!!

And Then There Were Herb Farmers....

High Valley Ginseng & Herb is privileged to be growing top quality herbs for the many Master Herbalists that we know and work with.

WE at High Valley are not the Herbalists; we grow, nurture, harvest, cultivate and ship fresh from the ear...th, top quality herbs for medicinal and personal use. We ensure that our herbs are fresh, free of radicals and grown with the strictest standards possible.

If it were not for the Master Herbalists that dedicate years of their life to their work we would not be "growing" into the family business that we are. So, we want to say thank you to them. People like Jeanine Davis, Alison Dressler, Cindi Vernon and the Western North Carolina Horticultural Research Center. Without people like these we would not be where we are today. Thank you!

We love to share the information we have learned from our friends and partners by posting various herbs and their medicinal uses, but please note we are the keepers of the herbs, the farmers and tenders, we leave the rest up to the Master Herbalists.

Winter Storm Leon

We, along with the rest of Georgia, have been visited by Winter Storm Leon. Thankfully, we are no where near the mess that is going on in Atlanta and the Metro Area right now. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the men, women and children stuck on the freeways overnight as well as the children stuck on buses and the teachers, parents and children stuck at schools overnight. Well, everyone affected by this storm. We hope everyone gets home safely soon!

I wanted to share some photos of winter weather and our dog Waylon enjoying the snow!
